Wikipedia told me that this island has two names. It's proper name is Mānana-Island, but it is also known as Rabbit Island due to it kind-of looking like a rabbit's head and it also once housing a rabbit colony. It did not end well for the rabbits, as they were destroying the local ecosystem.
Although I did get a little closer than this (and I'm sure that photo will pop up sometime soon), this is a wonderful view of the island. It's also nice to have a splash of color on this site since the last two photos have been B&W.
One thing that was surreal about my trip to Hawai'i was just how blue the water was. I tried to capture that here in this photo, and it's pretty close.
